I like your comment about giving away items to people in need. I do that also. I volunteer at a women's shelter and teach crochet and knitting. THe women are so thankful to learn and seem to also just need the attention and caring. Maybe they didn't get that as kids? It is very fulfilling and reminds me that we all need each other. I am currently working on some vests to send to Afghans to Afghans.

Iris, Can you tell me how you make the hats with the crochet edging? Do you turn up for a cuff?
Do you make it shorter because of the crochet edge?
Thanks
Patty

Hi Patty. I don't turn up for a cuff. I do make it shorter because of a crochet edge. I make it with about 20 rows or so. You can find crochet edging stitches on any search engine on-line like Google.com. Search for " free crochet edging patterns". Thanks Everyone (Janille, Patty, and All) for your compliments. Take Care, iris
